THREE BEDROOM / TWO BATH
SLEEPS EIGHT 1320 SQ FT
MOUNTAIN VIEWS
Vacation in the beautiful mountains of the Southwest's newest hotspot. Our cabin is a wonderful marriage of seclusion and convenience located only blocks away from fine dining and shopping. We are located about one-half mile from the intersection of Sudderth Drive and Mechem Drive, Ruidoso's two main traffic arteries. We are situated on a graveled cul-de-sac that has only four other cabins scattered about. The secluded feeling is great! There is plenty of room for the kids to play and explore. No other cabins are located east of ours, just lots of pine trees. Our cabin is a mountainside retreat offering a relaxing atmosphere in which to observe the abundant wildlife on the forested slopes. A herd of eight deer roams around the property almost daily!
During the summer you can enjoy relief from the heat in the cool pines and during the winter take advantage of the terrific powder of the slopes of Ski Apache. Many other local events and attractions appeal to visitors of all ages.
From the two large covered decks overlooking a forested valley, use the grill to prepare sizzling steaks while you watch the antics of the area's hummingbirds and listen to the wind sighing through the majestic Ponderosa pine trees. Inside the cabin enjoy the knotty pine ceilings and the large open kitchen / living space.
A word of caution: on occasion during the winter our steep street becomes a problem because of ice and snow conditions. Four-wheel drive or chains would be needed during these times. If there is sheet ice, even that will not help. Watch the weather forecasts and plan accordingly. An alternative route to our cabin helps, but ice and snow still present a problem. Lots of Ruidoso cabins face similar situations and owners / visitors deal with it. The village street crews do a great job of keeping Brady Canyon Drive and other major streets cleared. Worse case scenario: leave your vehicle on Brady Canyon Drive and walk up to our cabin. (300 yards)
