About Us

Gary:  I have been vacationing in Ruidoso since 1978 and ever since then I've dreamed of owing a cabin in the mountains.  This is it!  After getting a degree from Baylor University in 1975, I spent twenty-nine years as an educator and am now retired.   I enjoy buying houses and remodeling them, so this has been a very satisfying project.  Hopefully more will be done later.  I also enjoy ranching, traveling and woodworking.  I made the beds in the cabin as well as some of the other pieces of furniture.  Lots of the antiques came from Mary's grandfathers old barn in Central Texas.  I've been blessed with a wonderful family.

Mary:  Mary is also an educator.  She has taught senior English for the past several years.  Mary enjoys exercising and especially loves to play racquetball.  When not busy with these things, she finds time to do medical transcription.

Canyon:  Canyon is currently studying music in college.  He is a gifted guitarist and also enjoys the piano, percussions and saxophone.  He plays all kinds of music, but is really into jazz.  Canyon hopes to find a career in music after college.  He also enjoys video games, his computer and phone.
